The Giardino Lago in Minusio, near Locarno, is a true paradise for lovers of high-quality grilled specialties, located right on the shores of Lake Maggiore. The cuisine centers on top-quality premium cuts from LUMA, which are prepared with great precision on an 800 °C high-performance grill, resulting in a perfect crust and intense flavor. These are served with a variety of side dishes, sophisticated sauces, and seasonal dishes, as well as tapas, risotto, and pasta, which round out the culinary experience.

A large outdoor terrace, the breathtaking Roof Lounge, or the modern restaurant are ideal places for contemporary celebrations and enjoyment. And with our location directly on the lake, you can never go wrong. If needed, the hotel can also be rented exclusively.

On the Roof Lounge, Lake Maggiore virtually becomes an ocean. Far away from everyday life, surrounded by chill grooves and fresh drinks, there’s no better place to enjoy the day. Whether sunbathing, drinks with friends, or after-work by the lake. Cast off!

About us

Restaurant Giardino Lago, located directly on the promenade of Minusio near Locarno, offers its guests a wide selection of modern, Mediterranean dishes. The classics and new interpretations, from antipasti to homemade pasta and risottos, not to mention exquisite meat and fish dishes and homemade gelati, make the hearts of Italian food lovers beat faster.

The stylish restaurant is complemented by a large terrace and a modern rooftop lounge with a spectacular view of the lake. Since 2011, this beautiful palazzo has been part of the Giardino Group and is managed by General Manager Sandro Zellweger and Executive Chef Simone Morgano. The chef’s Italian charm and his dedicated team create a true “dolce vita” atmosphere.

Das Restaurant ist in der Sommersaison vom 2. April bis 18. Oktober 2026 geöffnet. Donnerstag bis Montag von 8:00 bis 23:00 Uhr, Dienstag und Mittwoch von 8:00 bis 10:30 Uhr (nur Frühstück). Frühstück täglich 8:00–10:30 Uhr, Mittagessen 12:00–13:45 Uhr, Dinner ab 18:30 Uhr (letzte Bestellung 21:45 Uhr).

Das Restaurant Giardino Lago verbindet moderne mediterrane Küche mit italienischen Klassikern. Das Signature-Gericht ist das LUMA Premium Fleisch, das im 800-Grad-Hochleistungsofen zubereitet wird, exklusiv im Giardino Lago. Dazu kommen hausgemachte Pasta, Risotti, Fisch- und Krustentiergerichte sowie kreative vegane Optionen und hausgemachtes Gelato.

Die Roof Lounge ist ein einzigartiger Ort auf dem Dach des Restaurants, mit Blick über den gesamten Lago Maggiore, weissen Segeln, Palmen, Lounge-Liegen und entspannter Atmosphäre. Geöffnet für externe Gäste Donnerstag bis Sonntag von 18:00 bis 22:00 Uhr in der Saison.
