On the Roof Lounge, Lake Maggiore virtually becomes an ocean. Far away from everyday life, surrounded by chill grooves and fresh drinks, there’s no better place to enjoy the day. Whether sunbathing, drinks with friends, or after-work by the lake. Cast off!

Restaurant Giardino Lago, located directly on the promenade of Minusio near Locarno, offers its guests a wide selection of modern, Mediterranean dishes. The classics and new interpretations, from antipasti to homemade pasta and risottos, not to mention exquisite meat and fish dishes and homemade gelati, make the hearts of Italian food lovers beat faster.

The stylish restaurant is complemented by a large terrace and a modern Roof Lounge with spectacular lake views. Since 2011, the beautiful Palazzo has been part of the Giardino Group and is managed by General Manager Sandro Zellweger and Head Chef Francesco Leone. The Sicilian charm of the chef and his dedicated team ensure Dolce Vita vibes.

The restaurant is open during the summer season from 2 April to 18 October 2026. Thursday to Monday: 8:00 am, 11:00 pm. Tuesday and Wednesday: 8:00, 10:30 am (breakfast only). Breakfast daily 8:00–10:30 am, lunch 12:00–1:45 pm, dinner from 6:30 pm (last order 9:45 pm).

The Roof Lounge is a unique open-air space on the rooftop of the restaurant, overlooking the full expanse of Lake Maggiore. With white sails, palm trees, lounge chairs and a relaxed summer atmosphere, it is one of the most special spots in the Locarno region. Open to external guests Thursday to Sunday, 6:00–10:00 pm during the season.
